I think brunch can be the most important meal of anyone’s day – largely due to the culture surrounding it. Breakfast, however, still holds a place in my heart as being a crucial way to start the day. In light of recent events, it’s become a grande affair in our household. I often wake up, check Insta (I’m not even a little bit embarrassed about this), do some stretches and exercise, get ready to face the day and then make a hearty breakfast. Porridge is one of the healthiest, most filling breakfasts you could have. But, let’s face it, it’s pretty dull. So, I try to tart it up with some much needing flavour. Today, I went for almond butter, frozen blueberries, a drizzle of golden syrup, banana and a few generous drops of soya cream. Mother opted for this minus the banana (“ew, soggy banana”). I like to throw on a smidge of cinnamon and failing that cocoa powder. Spring light, faux marble and foliage made for a killer Insta worthy flat lay – even if I do say so myself. What do you guys like to eat for breakfast?
