I’m not a street style photographer. If I were, I’d probably be into doing street style with a bit more spontaneity. The notion of catching site of someone who’s stepped out on a normal day, without some fabulous event as incentive, in his or her favourite garbs (for comfort as well as style) is more exciting than having someone dressed for it. That is why I tried to capture people who seemed genuinely at ease in their own style, not the ones who were peacock-ing. Some of them smiled politely as they rushed to shows and other must-sees, while others paused for the photo. The ones that stood still only had a minute to spare.
I am also aware that some of my friends are curious about the ‘fashion crowd’, from what they wear to how they behave and what they talk about. Dishing is not what this blog is about (sorry, kinda) so this short post is only a brief visual summary to help inspire your imaginations or entertain your curiosity.
