On the 26th February I was invited to an event in central London, for a chat, ‘drinks and goodies.’ The brand in question was Utter Couture, who specialise in bringing unique designers to their clients, with an aesthetic quality that is primarily based on and influenced by street style fashion. They invited influential bloggers to this platform for a discussion and an opportunity to network and I was both flattered and curious to have made the cut.

I made the long journey to London in anticipation of what was to come that evening, knowing that I would not be disappointed – the people at Utter Couture are an interesting and creative bunch – but still somewhat apprehensive about what the evening could bring. I was looking forward to the launch of their SS15 line, a collection featuring this season’s must-have staples: denim, whites and florals. Now, I’m not usually one to follow the trends (my outfit for the evening was a result of high street steals, designer jewellery and vintage discoveries), but seeing as Utter like to follow the lead of the guy on the streets and not the man on the runway, I concluded that this could be an interesting venture.

I was already starting to miss the buzz created by the circus that is London Fashion Week and, to be honest, to miss the amazing and talented people I’d had the pleasure of getting to know in between shows. Thus, I was excited about the possibility of bumping into a few of them and, if not, meeting new people. On the night of the event, I was not disappointed.

This isn’t really a POST as it is a ‘heads-up’ about things to come. The Utter Couture platform is really exciting and I hope you guys will enjoy it as much as I know I will. I have been invited to jump on board in some capacity and you will know more as soon as I do!

Look out for a new post, where I will be recording all that has been going on and some good news I have to share with you.

Until next time. x
